Texins Archery Club

Elm Fork is the host facility for Texins Archery Club, one of the largest archery clubs in Texas.

The Texins Archery Club ranges are open to the public (non-members) on Saturday mornings from 9:00

to 12:00, and for a $10 fee you may shoot on any of the ranges. Access at all other times is restricted
to club members only. For more details on the club, including membership information, please visit the
Texins website at www.dallasarchery.com.

Texins has an outstanding archery facility, with ranges set up in the northwest corner of the Shotgun Sports side of
Elm Fork.

Facilities include:
•Practice Range, with targets from 10 – 50 yards, plus an elevated shooting platform

Long Distance/FITA Range, with maximum distances of 70 yards and 70 meters, respectively
3-D Course with dozens of 3-D targets available to shoot
Broadhead Range, with maximum distance of 50 yards
Instructional Range, perfect for classes, lessons and events
Form Wall, a short-distance range with an oversized “wall” backstop, perfect for working on
your form, tinkering with accessories, or starting out a beginner

In addition, the Club has “loaner” bows and arrows available, so you don’t need to have your own

equipment to enjoy archery!

Texins Archery Club is a private non-profit club, but membership is open to the public. The club has

members involved in all types of archery, and at all skill levels. Members include elite competitive
archers, serious bowhunters, and highly knowledgeable archery coaches, as well as casual shooters
that just like to have fun flinging arrows. We welcome shooters of all ages, and shooters of all types of
equipment, and we are family-friendly!

Texins is active in the local archery community, hosting a variety of 3-D and Field tournaments as well

as Fun Shoots. One of our most popular activities is our Intro to Archery class, held every Saturday at
10:00am – a perfect way to try out archery in a fun group class. Club meetings are usually structured
around a theme of “Archery University,” where seminars or clinics are presented on archery or
bowhunting. Several members are certified coaches who offer private lessons. We truly have something
for everyone!
